The Hyundai Grand i10 is a car that we’re excited about. You know, we’ve often tested some really fancy supercars, some nifty electric vehicles and even a luxury sedan here and there but nothing quite beats the simple stuff. While those fancy cars are nice to test, you know that most people will never be able to ever test them, let alone own one. That’s why smaller, more grounded cars like the Grand i10 are so much more enjoyable to us: People will actually be able to drive these things and if they can get a bit of extra bang…

Takealot has us all in its’ pockets, right? While there are some great online stores like Loot and Raru to contest Takealot’s dominance, it’s still the top dog in terms of variety, stock and sometimes even price. Selling everything from food to high-end computer equipment, Takealot has built itself the reputation of being the online store that most people search first for whatever they’re in the market for. So it’ll be an uphill battle for Everyshop, a new online store that’s set to compete with Takealot. We don’t know all that much about the platform yet but based on the…

It’s amazing how Facebook seems so intent on utterly slaughtering any kind of solid reputation it has with users. Beyond all those awful ads and data breaches in the past, one (kinda) cool thing that Facebook has done was invest money into Oculus, a company that brought virtual reality into the home better than any other. Now sure, they invested by just buying the company but I guess that’s just how things work in the scarily corporate existence of Silicon Valley. Yet while everyone has been enjoying Oculus’s latest headsets, the Quest and Quest 2, Facebook seems intent on ruining…

Wireless earbuds are maybe one of my favourite inventions of the past decade. They’re portable, efficient and just so much less cumbersome than walking around with two strings of cable dangling from either side of your head. While Apple has made arguably the most iconic iteration of the wireless earbud, the AirPod, that hasn’t stopped competitors from trying their hands at offering up a similar yet cheaper design. Samsung has the excellent Galaxy Buds Live and Huawei has its range of FreeBuds, both of which are excellent substitutes. Now it looks like LG is wading into the fray with its…

Google Shopping is arguably one of the most helpful services offered by the company. I mean sure, it lets a mega-corporation that’s already capable of tracking every one of your online moves and interactions but it’s also just so handy to search for a product you’re looking for and have Google organise all them into a convenient list so you don’t have to open all those tabs and sift through every market place that might stock what you’re looking for. It’s an efficient tool that will no doubt begin seeing more use when Black Friday and the holidays after hit soon after.…

We use WhatsApp every day. Well, I don’t want to speak for you but at Stuff it’s our primary form of communication. We use it to talk to friends, family and to check in on one another when there’s been a lull in the website (one of our cats just had kittens, so it’s been a really fun week). Yet while we mostly use the app for socialising, especially during a rampant global pandemic, there are plenty of folks that use the Facebook-owned instant messaging app to conduct business. It’s with this mind that WhatsApp is adding a suite of features that…

It’s been a big day for Huawei as the company held a substantial press conference to unveil the new range of Mate 40 phones. While those took centre stage for most of the presentation, there were some neat little accessories that were shown off as well that we just thought deserved some attention because even the less important child deserves a cake on its birthday, right? Huawei, never one to be left out of potential market spaces, also unveiled the FreeBuds Studio, a new set of over-ear headphones. It’s the next logical space to progress to given that the in-ear…

While we at Stuff are all adults (in the loosest sense of the word) we’re all suckers for some polished animation and intelligently stupid writing. So it makes sense that we’d all be fans of Animaniacs, Warner Bros. classic cartoon produced by Stephen Spielberg and starring the fictional Warner sibling, Yakko, Wakko and Dot. Seriously, you might think you’re too old for it but go back and watch classic Animaniacs. While the episodes might look a little fuzzy, the sharpness of the writing and fluidity of the animation is still spectacular. Hell, Bill Clinton appears in the opening of every episode playing the saxophone,…

This is one of those stories I think could probably have been written months ago, specifically just after Quibi was first announced. Before we get to the meat and potatoes of this news, let’s go back in time to when ex-chairman of Disney, Jeffrey Katzenberg, announced his new venture: Quibi. The thing about Quibi that was meant to set it apart from the competition was that it was specifically targeted to mobile users. Quibi would offer up a variety of shows, made exclusively for the platform, that would be filmed and edited to support both portrait and landscape orientations. These…

Windows 10 updates are just the absolute worst, right? One day you’re just using your computer without a notification in sight and before you know it, you’re staring at the spinning dots of a loading screen, patience being tested, as your entire operating system is updated. They can often feel incredibly random at times but trust us, it’s important to keep your machine updated. While irritating, updates often help improve and bolster security features and, roughly twice a year, they contain some more substantial improvements to Windows 10. Take the October 2020 update that’s currently rolling out: It improves start…
