I completed a Masters Degree just so someone might take my opinions seriously one day. Also writes about video games over at Critical Hit.

Nerf has often gone out of it’s way to makes some truly cool collaborations in the past yet this one might just be the company’s best one yet. The Mandalorian’s unique and altogether awesome Amban Phase-pulse blaster is the latest iconic firearm to receive the foam and plastic treatment and honestly, we couldn’t be more please. Just look at the thing! It features a range of sound effects that replicate the blaster firing and recharging, a light up scope and comes with some “authentic” wear and tear to really drive home that this thing has seen some action. It’s just……

When you have a franchise as long and storied as Jame Bond’s, you might as well share it with the universe, right? That’s MGM’s plan, as it has joined forces with YouTube to stream the first nineteen James Bond movies on the video-sharing platform completely free of charge. Something like this would have been perfect for the middle of Level 5 Lockdown but it’s still cool that it’s actually happening at all. Even better considering No Time To Die is still hanging in limbo, so all those James Bond fans who somehow haven’t bought all the DVDs can satiate their…

YouTube, clearly tired of the reputation it’s earned for hosting one of the most toxic, putrid wastelands on the internet, will start asking users whether they really want to share their comments with creators. A blog post put out by YouTube has highlighted the addition of a feature that will flag potentially offensive comments and prompt the writer to introspect by asking them if they actually want to share it. Which, we all know, will change absolutely nothing at all. YouTube is using some kind of AI system to detect potentially harmful comments which is pulling from a database of…

The Apple Watch is a great little piece of hardware but one avenue where it certainly doesn’t hold up is photography. Apple stuffed so much tech into the wrist-mounted device but there’s no camera, a non-problem that the Wristcam is looking to fix. It’s really just a strap equipped with front facing and rear cameras but what’s wild is that it’s been in development since 2016, so it’s nice that it’s seeing the light of day. The Wristcam’s rear future is 8MP and while that doesn’t sound all that impressive, it can take 1080p video and capture stills in 4K.…

You might know the brand Bose for producing some of the best headphones (and earbuds) on the market. It produces some of the more high-end luxury audio devices on the market and its new set of sport-focused earbuds are probably going to appeal to that banker friend of yours who doesn’t shut up about cycling. A filing for Bose’s “Sports Open Earbuds” appeared at the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) today and included images that gave us a pretty solid idea of what to expect. For those of you who may not know, the FCC is a branch of the United…

You might not know this but drone racing is actually ludicrously popular around the world. When you’re not taking videos with them, what else are they actually good for? DJI, hot off the announcement of the Mini 2 drone, has seemingly come to the same conclusion as the company began to develop its first first-person-view (FPV) racing drone. As it turns out, they only ended up making the goggles that would pair with such a drone but now, if a series of leaked images are to be believed, they’re all in on an actual drone. The racing drone, seemingly named…

It was just a few days ago that we were hearing rumours that Samsung had a new version of their excellent Galaxy Buds range in the pipeline. As it turns out, those rumours are becoming more and more possible thanks to a set of leaked images that have managed to surface across the internet. The gossip around town was already pretty believable but actually having visual proof? Well, now you have our attention. The source for the images comes from noted leaker (that noun never gets any easier to write) Evan Blass. Sharing the images with Voice, they certainly look…

You mention the phrase “most powerful double cab bakkie” and all of a sudden three quarters of South Africa becomes mentally aroused. Volkswagen knows this, and thus they’re obviously very pleased to announce that the new 190kW Amarok double cab bakkie is now available in South Africa. The new Amarok sports a 3.0-litre V6 190kW TDI engine, which generates 25kW more than the outgoing 3.0 -litre model. All of that juice is channeled through an eight-speed automatic gearbox and generates 580 Newton metres of torque at 4,500 RPM. What this all means is that this new model is the fastest…
