By now, you probably know about Samsung’s upcoming reveal event, hence all the recent leaks and confirmed rumour posts. Now, Samsung has given us a more solid peek at the upcoming devices in the form of a teaser trailer. It looks like we’ll see the company announce five new devices come 5 August.
Unpacking the trailer
In the trailer, you can clearly make out the silhouettes of five devices at the start of the video, as well as at the end. Samsung isn’t holding back too much, as it’s pretty clear what these silhouettes represent. Especially if you’ve been following recent leaks of the Note 20, Note 20 Ultra and the Galaxy Fold 2.0. The only un-leaked devices seen in the video is presumably the upcoming Galaxy Watch, some new Galaxy Buds and a tablet. And even those have turned up in bits and pieces over the last few weeks.
Here are the products we expect to see, following the cryptic trailer: the new Galaxy Note 20 (Normal and Ultra variations), the Galaxy Fold 2, the Galaxy Watch 3, the bean-shaped Galaxy Buds Plus and the Galaxy Tab S7 and S7 Plus tablets.
All of these have leaked in some way over the weeks leading up to Unpacked 2020, but we’re sure to be surprised by the tech one way or another. Of course, Samsung may have some other unexpected devices up its sleeve come the announcement, but right now, it doesn’t look like it.
Galaxy Unpacked will be an all-digital event this year thanks to the new norm, so anyone can tune in from anywhere on Wednesday 5 August 16:00 CAT.
