The highly anticipated sequel to one of the best games of the last generation has unfortunately suffered at the hands of the ongoing pandemic, forcing all of us to wait until…well, we don’t know when. That’s how long it’s been delayed. It’s always sad news to hear a game has been delayed, but usually it’s for reasons that only make you more excited. When a game is delayed to add some extra polish or new features that will ultimately result in a better experience, that’s pretty exciting stuff. Yet when something beyond the control of both the publisher and developers…

In a press release sent out this morning, DStv confirmed that the new channels would be aimed at educating children stuck at home while schools are closed. These channels will be offered on DStv Now and will be included in the free version of the service for all non-subscribers. DStv is really trying it’s best to prove to everyone that they shouldn’t just cancel their subscription. Announced a few weeks back, just when things were starting to look bad for the country, DStv stepped up to the plate and announced that they would be releasing a bunch of free channels…

As counter-intuitive as it might seem to invest in a laptop right now, we can’t say that we’re not at least a little excited to see what Lenovo has in store for their next wave of gaming laptops. Today, Lenovo announced the inclusion of Intel’s most advanced hardware, the new Legion series is sure to be pushing some serious heat, and we don’t just mean that in the metaphorical impressive way either. We have a soft spot in our hearts for Lenovo’s range of gaming hardware. While they’re not really as flashy as some of the more eccentric brands out…

Valid until the end of April, Deezer wants to provide us with some fresh isolation tunes alongside a plentiful helping of live radio stations and podcasts. While you’d normally have to pay to access all these neat services, Deezer’s making all their content free for the next three months as they extend their trial period to accommodate those in lockdown. Music is such an important and natural part of our lives that it feels weird when we can’t actually listen to it. We can’t imagine what it would be like to be stuck at home with nothing but the deafening…

The worst part about being stuck at home with nothing to do isn’t the boredom. Nor is it the constant snacking on your precisely researched rations. It’s not even the fact that you can’t see other people for another two weeks. The worst part is the anxiety that comes with knowing the world continues to rotate without your participation, moving in directions you could never predict and will no doubt have to figure out once everything calms down again. It’s a scary time and when you’re stuck at home, doing your part to save the world, there’s not really much…

Using Discovery’s established online presence and infrastructure, the platform will allow South Africans to access a free virtual consultation with qualified doctors, specifically to help them determine whether or not they may be suffering from the novel coronavirus. Getting around to seeing a doctor these days has, honestly, become pretty tough. Fortunately for us, there’s a little thing called the internet that’s making communication with actual qualified specialists easier than ever, if you know where to look (and that doesn’t mean Facebook, Karen). Vodacom and Discovery have launched a new online platform specifically to help people screen themselves for the…

Vodacom’s price reductions will take place with immediate effect. While you might consider these changes to be charitable on Vodacom’s behalf, odds are this was implemented because they were forced to by the Competition Commission and not because of the lockdown. Still, you can’t turn your nose up at some good timing like that. A few weeks ago, we reported Vodacom was ordered to change their prices by the Competition Commission to make it at least a little more fair on its clients. Considering that today marks the start of a new month, those changes will be taking effect immediately. All data…

The highly acclaimed single-player campaign for 2009’s Modern Warfare 2 has received a graphic glow up, just don’t get too excited if you’re someone who doesn’t own a PS4 because you’ll have to wait a little longer than the Sony fans for this one. We all remember the time we first heard the phrase, “Remember, no Russian.” It’s become one of the more iconic lines in video game culture largely because of the brutality associated with the following level. And because the game it was attached to is still one of the most beloved entries in the largest game franchise…

What seems to have become a tradition for Adult Swim, the return of Rick and Morty was planned for 1 April to no doubt play into that April Fool’s Day hype. Showmax confirmed today that the highly anticipated return of Rick and Morty is just a month away. Adult Swim announced that the mid-season break for the latest series of the beloved animated show was coming…

Stories have been circulating which claim that Houseparty has been “hacking” user’s personal data, accessing details through private Spotify, Netflix and Paypal accounts. Houseparty has stated that evidence proving these supposed hacks has not been uncovered and are, quite frankly, a bit sick of it all. Hence the hefty reward for information on the rumours. Houseparty might not be a very well-known video chat platform, but that hasn’t stopped the company from taking off in the last few months. The platform itself is rather unimpressive, not really offering up anything different from similar apps like Skype and Zoom, but it’s still…
