Ah, The Witcher 3. There was a time before the Netflix series that Geralt of Rivia’s best adventure was a special nugget of entertainment relegated to those fans willing to sit in front of their consoles for hundreds of hours, completing every single quest they could find. Yet now that Henry Cavill has donned the silver sword and even more silver wig, more people have been dead set on figuring out just what The Witcher is all about and the best way to do that is the third game, The Wild Hunt. Which is a little weird considering you might be left confused as…

Matric can be stressful enough as it is without being confined to a house or fearing the contraction of some kind of horrific pandemic inducing virus. Yet if you’re unable to keep studying due to the fact that all lessons have gone digital and you don’t have the hardware to support such a classroom, one can only imagine the pressure that places you under. Fortunately for all of those students that can’t afford monitors or screens to host those virtual lessons, the government is looking at helping out with some free TVs. According to MyBroadBand, a fast-track tender was published…

The dog-fighting flight simulator genre is a little bit stale right now. Sure, we have Microsoft: Flight Simulator, Elite Dangerous and No Man’s Sky which let you control your own ship but the flight combat is either only a small aspect or non-existent in those games. Remember the classic sci-fi flight games like Star Wars: TIE Fighter, or Star Wars: Starfighter or Star Wars: X-Wing Alliance? Wow, there’s actually a lot of flying in Star Wars, huh? While Star Wars: Battlefront 2 (2017) featured full-scale spaces battles and dogfighting, it just didn’t feel the same. So here’s hoping the latest leak out of EA Games can take us back to the classics… All…

More people than you’d think don’t delete their WhatsApp messages, for a large variety of reasons. Maybe they’re keeping an informal record of some kind of business arrangement, or a collection of all the messages their significant other sent them (and never got around to purging after the relationship took a nose-dive out of a plane without a parachute). Whatever the case may be, plenty of folks have loads of messages stored on their devices. Searching for specific information can be quite a chore, hence why WhatsApp is looking into a new search feature. Looking for group (messages) A search-by-date…

Hey, you what the most annoying thing about YouTube is? Those little thirty second ads that pop up randomly in a long video you’re watching. You’ve just sat down with some delicious supper, ready to tuck into a video essay dissecting the themes of Dark Souls and just as you’re getting to the good part an advert for Wix or Fiverr rears it’s irritating head. I can justify having an ad at the start and end of a video, but slotted clumsily in at random intervals? If I wanted that, I’d just go to DStv. Fortunately, there is a way to turn off these kinds of…

It’s been a long time coming for Sony, with many wondering as to the reasoning behind their seemingly slow schedule for the PlayStation 5. I mean, Microsoft got out there and showed off what the Xbox Series X will look all the way back in December of 2019 and even though Sony got out and confirmed the PS5 will indeed be launching this year, we’ve gone months now without even knowing what it looks like. Knowing the design of the controller, The DualSense, is neat, but what about the box. Well after last night’s PS5 showcase, we don’t have to…

Twitter is designed to be consumed quickly, hence the very limited number of characters you’re allowed to use when sharing your thoughts. It makes the social media platform much easier to scroll through and identify accounts that you enjoy while never having to interrupt your search for fire memes with unnecessary text. But the downside of easy browsing is that many folks often retweet without actually thinking about what they’re promoting. With the current problems around falsified and sensationalised news stories, retweeting without properly reading can signal to boost some messages which just shouldn’t be shared widely. Thus, Twitter now…

Being old is the worst, right? Look, I’m just a few months off 25 and I can already feel the creaks and cracks in my spine, although that might just be because I sit in the shape of a crudely carved boomerang. It’s not all just aches and pains though, the crippling isolation and loneliness can also be extremely taxing on the elderly mind. If you’ve experienced any of those emotions during lockdown then just imagine how brutal it must be when you’re 90 years old and can barely leave your comfy recliner. It’s with this depressing image in mind…

That little blue tick you can sometimes see next to popular people in Twitter carries far more weight than you might initially expect. Having a verified account can be a big deal for a personal brand or company and it’s always been a bit of a nuisance to have Twitter recognise you like the neglectful sempai it is. A recent leak might be turning that around though as some recently confirmed rumours have stated that Twitter is busy revamping its verification system while also implementing a set of rules to ensure folks blessed with that little mark turn out to actually not…

The question everyone’s been asking is, “What can Multichoice do next to keep the angry voices down?” It’s no secret that Multichoice and DStv aren’t exactly in the most publicly acceptable place right now with most people tending to rather dislike their service. Just take a look at the comment section under any of our DStv posts and you’ll see loads of folks up in arms with the companies. Yet maybe the latest deal signed by Multichoice will be enough to do something to stop their slipping image. Yes, it was just announced that the service provider has signed a deal with…
