While it might be a while yet before we can actually visit and report back on the experience, fansite Universal Parks News Today dropped a whole load of videos detailing their experiences in Nintendo’s park. The videos cover everything you might have questions about and go into a staggering amount of detail showing everything off. You want to know what walking through the entrance is like? Yep, there’s a video for that embedded below. What’s on the menu? Just check that out here. The gift shop and merchandise you ask? Don’t stress, there’s a video for that too.
Despite not being able to actually visit it (or it being open yet) we’re very excited to see Super Nintendo World come to fruition. The theme park serves as an opportunity for Nintendo to try it’s hardest at bringing the world of Mario into reality. Based on the photos and short clips leaked out onto the internet, the actual parks look amazing yet beyond the more technical details, we haven’t really seen it all in action. Sure, Mario creator Shigeru Miyamoto gave us a brief tour but it was fast and cut away from the action too much for our tastes. We really want to see the park in action.
Nintendo is going all-in on its Super World
There’s a lot of content to consume on this playlist so it might be better to pick and choose your interests. Seriously, one video is just 30 minutes of a guy eating every item on the menu in the park’s Kinopio’s Cafe. Of particular interest to us were the videos detailing the snacks on offer, a full view of the Yoshi’s Adventure ride and the Mario Kart: Koopa’s Challenge attraction.
Every part of Super Nintendo World looks like it was designed by folks who genuinely adore Mario and his band of merry friends and enemies. The weirdest part of the videos is the people: There shouldn’t be any in the park right now. It was originally meant to open today, 4 February but since Japan declared a state of emergency, the opening was pushed to an unspecified date in the future. Given the number of people walking around the place, one has to assume this was some kind of media/influencer event that was held a couple of months back. Still, pretty weird to see all those people walking around in such close proximity, even if they have masks on.
