Now that the grand reveal has happened, everyone wants to get their hands on the S9 and S9+ (well, a lot of people). We’ve done the necessary digging to find all of the once-off prices as well as contract specials on offer from local service providers.

It’s possible to buy the new devices for cash, too, and then use the SIM of your choice. Prices for the standalone Galaxy S9 vary from between R15,499 at DionWired to R17,279 at MTN. For the Galaxy S9+, you will pay from R17,999 at Dion Wired to R20,389 at MTN. If you are looking for something to sweeten the deal (even more than owning the best smartphone on the market), some service providers have released their contract prices for the S9 and S9+ and thrown in vouchers or other tasty extras.

The new handsets officially launch on 16 March, so get those pre-orders in. The first pre-orders will be going out this Friday, ahead of next Friday’s official in-store date. According to Samsung, all pre-orders will receive a R500 voucher for Samsung Accessories, along with six months free Samsung Mobile Care cover.
