Apple did something interesting with the iPhone XR: it released a phone that (mostly) looked like its iPhone XS flagship, but skimped on some specs to deliver a comparable experience at a lower (but hardly cheap) price.

In classic Samsung fashion, the Korean giant is now doing much the same with the Galaxy S10E. Revealed alongside the base Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10+, the Galaxy S10E keeps the powerful processor, colourful glass, and reverse wireless charging, but opts for a smaller, lower-resolution flat panel, and trims elsewhere as well.

Samsung’s latest and greatest smartphone is here at last. Well, it’s nearly here – 8 March, the Galaxy S10’s launch date, is right around the corner and you don’t want to be caught out without one. That’s why just about everyone has Samsung’s newest device family available for pre-order. If you want one on Day One, you’re going to have to reserve it.

The newest sensation to hit these all-important devices are foldable screens. Last week Samsung got the jump on its competitors by announcing its Galaxy Fold before the annual Mobile World Congress. As the cellular industry gathered in Barcelona this week, Huawei announced their own foldable, the Mate X, the day before the main conference began on Monday.

MWC has delivered some weird and wonderful mobile tech so far and LG has announced the G8 ThinQ that can read your palms. You read that right.

Here’s another one we knew we were going to see at MWC: It’s a phone with a 18,000mAh battery from Energizer.

It’s the smartphone lover’s favourite time of the year. Barcelona, Spain plays host to Mobile World Congress, where much of the world (except Apple) shows off what’s new (in the near-future distant future) in mobile tech. This morning was Sony’s crack at showing off what’s coming and we were there to get all the details. 

As part of Sony’s Mobile World Congress announcement, we’ve gotten a glimpse of the company’s new crop of handsets. In addition to the Xperia 1 (which we weren’t allowed to touch), we saw the Xperia 10 and Xperia 10 Plus (which we were allowed to touch). There’s also a lower-spec Xperia L3 on the cards, and Stuff got a chance to handle all three today. 

Foldable smartphones are here and they’re the most exciting thing to happen in the mobile sector in years… but you still shouldn’t buy one.

Nokia’s announced four new smartphones and one feature phone at its press conference at Mobile World Congress 2019 in Barcelona, including a new flagship device with five rear cameras.

Huawei has unveiled its folding Mate X 2-in-1 smartphone and tablet at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona and it looks pretty amazing.
