Hanson Robotics, creators of the viral AI sensation Sophia, have unveiled plans to be mass-producing humanoid robots this year. Twitter has recently announced the release of its Birdwatch program, a community-driven project aimed at addressing misinformation on the social media platform. Members of the program will be able to fact check tweets, adding context through notes when they believe they have identified misinformation. Currently the program is in its infancy, and notes can only be viewed on a separate Birdwatch site, but Twitter aims to eventually have notes visible directly under the tweets they apply to for all users to see. Samsung has recently revealed its “digital cockpit”. The Digital Cockpit 2021 was created as a joint effort from Samsung Electronics and car-tech experts Harmon, and aims to deliver “fun on-the-go experiences”, according to the tagline. OLED displays and all their gloriously deep and detailed colours aren’t commonly seen in laptops, and the ones that do sport them tend to be stuck at an adequate but not amazing 60Hz refresh rate.
