Let’s get something straight: werewolves are cool. Sometimes scary, yes, sometimes strangely sexy (thanks for that, Twilight), but always cool. Enter Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood (referred to hereafter as Earthblood for the sake of brevity), brought howling to your screen by developer Cyanide, and publisher Nacon. Earthblood is based off…

From day one the PlayStation 5 has been flying off of store shelves. It’s pretty hard to get your hands on the console at the moment, as it constantly seems to be sold out across stores, despite Sony’s valiant efforts to keep up with demand. It’s therefore not surprising to learn that a whopping 4 and a half million units were sold in 2020. This mirrors the PlayStation 4’s sale numbers during its infancy way back in 2013. Like Nintendo, Sony has touted some impressive financial figures recently, thanks to the high demand for its new console. According to The…

Recently, Facebook and its linked platforms (WhatsApp mostly, but Instagram isn’t innocent either) have been at odds with their users over issues of privacy scraping. Of particular mention is a mass flight of WhatsApp users to other platforms as they escape the chat app’s new privacy updates. Now, in light of Apple’s upcoming privacy changes tied to it’s iOS update, Facebook will begin to show a prompt on the iOS app persuading users to allow ad-tracking. The prompt explains to users why they should allow Facebook to “use future activity that other apps and websites send” them (which is a…

Google is adding a significant new feature to its search engine that will provide users with information about the websites pulled up when they search for something. This will help users “make a more informed decision about the sites you may want to visit”, according to Google on its official blog.  Quality Assurance Google will use Wikipedia to provide descriptions and details of websites, depending on its “open editing model” which relies on thousands of volunteers contributing to the site’s database, and believes that this will ensure accuracy and quality. The intention is to give users “peace of mind” when…

Earlier today, Chinese electronics company Xiaomi revealed its new wireless charging technology, ‘Mi Air Charge’. We’ve seen wireless charging before, but nothing quite as cool as this. In a short video and blog post, Xiaomi explained that Mi Air Charge is capable of remotely charging several electronic devices at the same time. The Mi Air Charge transmitter, the linchpin to the whole thing, provides charge within a radius of a few meters, and is about the size of a couch side table. Perfect for your living room. Physical obstacles won’t disrupt or weaken the charge either, apparently.   “It’s not science fiction,…
