Cyberpunk Patch 1.1 adds new game breaking bug

In spite of its best efforts to fix up Cyberpunk: 2077, the recent 1.1 patch includes a new game-breaking bug. Players may have experienced the bug while attempting to complete the main story mission “Down on the Street”. As part of the quest, V is supposed to receive a holo call from Takemura meant to progress the story. Unfortunately, on the call Takemura merely gives V a dead stare, barring players from proceeding further.

For now, CD Project Red has provided a step-by-step guide to help players circumvent the bug:

    • Load a save from before Takemura and V leave Wakako’s office
    • Finish the conversation with Takemura outside the office right away
    • Right after the finished conversation and when the quest was updated, skip 24 in-game hours
    • See if the holo call triggers and the dialogue with Takemura starts

If this doesn’t work, players will have to wait for a hotfix or the upcoming 1.2 patch which aims to further address stability issues and bugs in Cyberpunk: 2077.
