In a first for South Africa, iStore announced today that it will finally offer cellular-capable Apple Watches, and they’re available to pre-order from today 15 May. It’s offering both the Apple Watch Series 3 and the Apple Watch Series 5 cellular variants for pre-order The watches use built-in eSIM technology that allows you to stay connected even if you don’t have your phone with you. This is obviously great news for runners and outdoorsy people who don’t plan to take their bulky phones on a morning jog.  How it works But, there is a catch. The eSIM functionality is only…

In a time where restrictions are the order of the day, we would have loved to see the Trump administration give Huawei some leeway regarding its current trading sanctions. But that’s not the case. Today, pres. Donald Trump announced that the US will continue with restrictions against the Chinese telecom until May 2021. According to Reuters, the renewed order doesn’t explicitly name Huawei, although it is clearly aimed at the company, but it’s evident that the restrictions will hit them hardest. “U.S. lawmakers said Trump’s 2019 order was aimed squarely at Chinese companies like Huawei Technologies Co and ZTE Corp,”…

That’s because of the ongoing trade war with the US and its software not containing Google support. It’s clear now that Huawei wanted to bolster its App Store before rolling out in the…

The upcoming next-gen consoles have (partly) been announced and we’re finally getting some Xbox Series X game announcements. Yesterday, Microsoft detailed some of the first games that will be optimised for the Xbox Series X console. And they all look very cool indeed.  The company showed off gameplay from 13 upcoming games that will head to the console after it launches end of this year. The announcement event showed off some cinematic trailers of a variety of third-party games, our favourite of which is Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. A letdown during the whole event was the lack of actual gameplay footage,…
