Honor is replacing its previous gaming handset lineup, the Honor GT series, with the Honor Win. It’s more than just a name-change, however. Honor is throwing as much as much as it can at the phone’s hardware, just to keep you interested.
And if you’re a gamer, then battery life is the second most important concern, right behind raw power. The Honor Win is taking that into account with a massive 10,000mAh battery that — if you’re using the phone as intended — should give you normal smartphone battery performance.
Chalk up another Honor Win
That’s even with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor and 16GB of RAM at the heart of this phone, plus an actual cooling fan integrated into the rear camera bump. It’s all about running as fast as possible without actually singeing your fingers in the process.
Dual speakers — audio performance is a must even for mobile gamers — and an IP69K rating are a couple of the phone’s other noteworthy features. The camera bump doesn’t just host a cooling fan, either. Three camera sensors also live there, include you’re the social type of mobile gamer, we guess? At the time of writing (hey, the folks at Stuff need a break too), the exact details of the Honor Win’s cameras were not known. By the time you read this, however, that info will be out in the world.
There are two versions of the phone coming out — the top-end edition mentioned here, as well as the Honor Win RT. That one only features two (still unknown) camera sensors, but keep the cooling fan. The bad news? The gaming handset will only be launching in China, at least initially. We should get details about an international launch in the coming months.
