A fierce-looking Lamborghini concept appears

A new concept for a futuristic Lamborghini has emerged online that looks like something from a Halo and Dune crossover. The vehicle, if you can call it that, features tank-like treads instead of wheels, perfect for desert traversal. Before you get too excited and rush out to buy one, this thing only exists as a design concept for now. Designer Michael Hritzkrieg spoke to Interesting Engieering and described his creation as “a rush job to meet an Instagram competition deadline.” That would be the AGP Contest that runs monthly. This Lamborghini concept, called the LMXX2, won the March competition that had “Desert + Lamborghini + Future” as the design keywords.
Hritzkrieg said he designed the vehicle in Gravity Sketch using his Oculus Quest 2 then rendered it in Cinema4d and painted over it in Photoshop. Not bad for a rushed five-hour job. It might only exist as a series of images on Instagram, but who knows. When the apocalypse happens, hopefully Lamborghini will still be around to make a few.
Diablo Immortal is unplayable on some Samsung phones

Blizzard released Diablo Immortal last week on mobiles around the world and we won’t blame you if you missed that. It only took four years for the game to launch, after the company announced that the game would be a mobile exclusive to a less than enthusiastic audience. You might remember the infamous “do you guys not have phones?” question in response to all the audience boos.
Well, in those four years the company conceded and released the game on PC as well as iOS and Android. But it seems not all Diablo fans have had a good time about it. It wasn’t long after the game launched that some Samsung owners took to community forums, and Reddit (obviously), to report their technical issues. It seems, for now at least, that the problems are localised to some older Samsung Galaxy devices that sport the Exynos chipset.
SamMobile spotted a Blizzard spokesperson’s comment on a Reddit thread that said, “We are exploring the issues people are experiencing with some Samsung Galaxy specific devices that use Exynos chipsets.” The Galaxy S10, Note 10 and A51 5G have been mentioned specifically as problem units but others have also mentioned facing problems with some S22 devices. We tested it briefly on a Galaxy S20 Ultra LTE from 2020 with an Exynos 990 chipset and found no issues, so your results may vary. If you do run into problems it’s probably worth reporting it so Blizzard can get an idea of the scale of the problem. That’ll hopefully help get a patch out faster.

Relive the past with Sega’s Mega Drive Mini 2

Sega just can’t let go of the past. In this case, we’re okay with that. The company is bringing out another retro games console, the Mega Drive Mini 2, or Genesis as it was know by Western audiences. It’s only confirmed for Japan for the time being but the company is likely to bring it to a few other markets as well under the Genesis name.
The console will feature 50 Sega CD games that have been faithfully reproduced, according to Sega anyway. The full list of titles hasn’t been made available yet but it does include Sega Mega Drive/Genesis classics Sonic the Hedgehog CD, Virtua Racing and Shining Force CD. The Mega Drive Mini 2 will cost ¥9,980 or just under R1,200 for the base console. If you want the cosmetic CD attachment to get the full nostalgic experience that’ll cost an extra ¥4,500 or R530.

Future Volvo cars could feature Unreal Engine smarts

Vovlo is teaming up with Epic Games in one of the weirdest partnerships we’ve seen in a while. The point of this collab is to bring next-gen real-time photorealistic visualisation tech to future Volvo cars. Aren’t you tired of staring at a pixelated video through your boring LCD screen while you reverse? Well, this partnership with Epic Games will bring the company’s Unreal Engine game engine to the next generation of Volvo EVs. Which might mean the reverse cam of the future might look a bit like Fortnite.
The Unreal Engine experience within future Volvos will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Cockpit Platforms. Volvo says this will make the infotainment system more than twice as fast as its predecessor. We wonder how this will stack up against Teslas that can already natively play a host of games. Volvo will reveal its new flagship EV featuring the tech later this year as part of its drive to sell only all-electric vehicles by 2030.
