Noted leaker Evan Blass is at it again, sharing yet another pre-announcement look at Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S21 FE smartphone. We’ve seen it turn up a couple of times this year, most recently in June (where it was pointed out that the global chip shortage may hit supplies of the phone in the nards), but this is the best look at the phone yet.

Rather than just a static image this time around, Blass has posted a complete 360° video of Samsung’s upcoming handset. If you’re bored with just the one hue, check out the rest of Blass’ Twitter thread — he’s got all of the possible shades spinning like… actually, let’s not get into that.
The major change in terms of design, if the render is accurate, is that the camera bump on the upper right will be a little skimpier than on the full-fat Galaxy S21 handset. Which… wouldn’t be hard. That thing was rather chunky. Aside from that, the handset looks like the original S21 crew for the most part. Which is kinda the point.
Internally, things are a little murkier. A 6.4in display is expected to turn up, there are supposed to be three rear cameras (this is almost definitely true) but we’re not sure what we’ll get in terms of lenses. A trio of 12MP efforts of varying types is our best guess, but it’s only a guess. The front camera is supposedly a 32MP affair and a 4,500mAh battery is supposed to be packed in the back.
The other internals are even less definite (unusually). There’s talk of a Snapdragon 888 in one version of the Galaxy S21 FE, along with 6GB of RAM, but it’s also likely that the Exynos 2100 found in the regular S21 will turn up in some locations (like South Africa). Samsung typically doesn’t change processors for its Fan Edition phones so this isn’t much of a stretch to believe.
What we don’t know is a launch date. The chip shortage has apparently delayed the phone to later this year, otherwise we’d expect it to be announced and released around August, at an unconfirmed Unpacked event where we’re expecting Samsung’s new folding phones to turn up.
