As we inch closer to the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S26, we move just as close to the launch of the company’s next pair of earbuds: the Samsung Galaxy Buds 4. We’ll get a look at the buds and their Pro companions at Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked event, pencilled in for tomorrow night at 20h00. If you can’t wait that long, SammyGuru has spoiled some of the surprise by offering an in-depth look at what’s coming.
Can we be best buds?

@antonioig002 discovered several of the Galaxy Buds 4 Pro’s features by digging through the latest Galaxy Buds app via an APK teardown. Firstly, we got another cartoony look at the charging case housing both the Buds 4 and 4 Pro, confirming there won’t be a speaker on its front. Newbies might wonder why that needs stating, but earlier leaks suggested this was the direction Samsung would take, before.
Easily the biggest upgrade will be head gestures. The addition finally brings Samsung’s buds efforts up to par, after Apple introduced similar technology a while back. A simple shake of the head will decline calls or tell Bixby “no”, while a nod does the opposite. You know, human stuff. The same gestures will also start and stop your buds reading notifications aloud, all hands-free. The feature will seemingly be reserved for Pro-buyers only, though SammyGuru’s later mention indicates the regular Buds 4 may share the feature. Only time will tell.

Then there’s a new ‘Find My Phone’ button built right into the charging case that does what you think it does. Just hit the button twice while the buds are safely tucked inside, and it’ll ring your phone. Assuming it’s nearby, of course. There’s no chance Samsung will let that one go for cheap. The feature is Pro-only.
On top of the usual audio upgrades, the Galaxy Buds 4 Pro will also add new powers that’ll allow users to remotely snap a picture or record a video. They’ll do this by pinching and holding the stem of one of the buds after enabling the setting in the Galaxy Buds app. If there’s more that Samsung has kept under wraps — unlikely, given the company’s history — then we’ll see it at tomorrow night’s Galaxy Unpacked event.
