Imagine taking the Nokia 3310 build (the original one), scaling it up to laptop size, and then sticking modern internals inside it? That’s more or less what current brand owner HMD Global wants you to have in mind when it reveals the Nokia Booklet X15 Enterprise. If the company reveals it.
See, the Booklet X15 Enterprise isn’t an official device yet. It surfaced via leaks from an X account, which also detailed the company’s similarly rugged Mission-Safe Phone 2. The product shown by leaker @smashX_60 isn’t remarkable as laptops go. The Finnish brand’s involvement makes it notable.
Built Nokia tough?
As with HMD’s current enterprise push, the Booklet X15 isn’t really intended for everyday users. The 15.6in computer features a modular build — it’ll integrate extra functions — as well as a high survivability rating. Itt should, according to the leak, shrug off a 1.8-metre fall. An IP65 and MIL-STD810G/H ratings should also see it outlasting accidents that don’t involve mere gravity.
The 15.6in IPS touchscreen LCD appears to have a brightness rating of 1,000 nits. An Intel Core Ultra 5 125H AI runs the show, and Nokia’s machine arrives with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. This can be upgraded, if you like, to 64GB/2TB. Those are respectable, but expensive-in-2026, numbers.
Other known details? There’s a 5MP autofocus webcam with infrared (?), the machine runs Windows 11 enterprise (in case you doubted its target market), and it’ll weigh 2.35 kilograms. It’s not the sort of thing you’d take hiking, but it would survive longer than you if it did.
But for us, the novelty factor of a Nokia-branded laptop is the biggest draw. How exactly will the brand execute something like this, and will it be worth picking up? Hopefully, those questions will be answered with an official reveal and launch. Those details… are not yet available.
