The Samsung Galaxy S26 may be the talk of the town by the time it eventually launches in 2026 (a little later than usual), but it’s the next-gen buds launching alongside it that have us interested. The existence of the Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro 4 is pretty much an open secret, but now we finally have an idea of what they look like.
Galaxy Buds on all fours?

Courtesy of Android Authority, Samsung Galaxy Buds 4 Pro animations were spotted in internal OneUI 8.5 leaks, giving us a look at the new buds from a couple of angles, as well as the new layout for the charging carry-case. As expected, the Buds 4 Pro retain the same stem design introduced for the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro. Whether the standard Galaxy Buds 4 will see a similar redesign, however, remains to be seen.
As ever, don’t expect much in the way of actual change. Samsung’s gone for a more rounded look, nixing the sharper edges the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro sports. Also, the LED strip has seemingly been axed. As for the case, the buds appear to lie flat while juicing up, instead of standing vertically inside the case.
More interesting were the videos showing off the Buds’ pinch and “head gestures”. Sure, pinching to play, pause, or control the volume of your music is cool, but what about nodding your head to accept a call? Or shaking it to deny one. AN APK teardown also revealed these functions can be customised to answer yes/no questions from an AI assistant, dismiss alarms, or have your notifications read aloud (or halted).
Even more assets revealed a bunch of the slam-dunk features headed to the buds — like 360° recording, adaptive noise control, and find your phone — many of which already exist on the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro. Still, it’s good to see Samsung adding new features, rather than deleting them. As for what these will cost, only Samsung knows. Expect to see them arrive alongside the next-gen Galaxy S26 next year.
