It’s been a little over a week since Samsung indefinitely halted the rollout of the One UI 7 update for Galaxy S24 and Fold/Flip 6 owners, with one leaker citing at least one “serious bug” for the delay. It appears as though the South Korean outfit has squashed the bug, allowing the update to rollout everywhere as intended.
One (UI 7) for the books
Judging by several posts across both the r/S24Ultra and r/GalaxyS24 subreddits, users spanning South Africa, Egypt, Kenya, Mauritius, Pakistan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and plenty of others are now receiving the stable One UI 7 update for last year’s flagship devices. The same goes for Galaxy Z Fold and Flip 6 owners.
Still rocking the Galaxy S23, S23+, or S23 Ultra? No matter. According to SamMobile, the stable One UI 7 update has reportedly hit devices in South Korea, meaning a global rollout can’t be far off. You’ll have to wait until May at the very least, thanks to a revised release schedule on Samsung’s Community page. Devices as far back as the Galaxy S21 FE will also get the update, but they’ll have to wait a few more months.

When your device eventually gets the Android 15-based One UI 7, you can look forward to a wholly refreshed interface, encompassing “easier-to-find” app icons, smarter notifications, an improved lock screen (featuring an overview of ongoing activities, etc.), more battery controls, and even more AI integration.
That’s assuming, of course, you own one of the devices that can handle the increased load that Galaxy AI brings. If that’s you, expect an upgrade in the writing tools department, providing simpler ways to summarise text, rewrite it, or compose something entirely new. AI-powered translations now provide a transcription during the call, and the natural language search in the gallery app will get a small buff.
