TUF Gaming M4 Wireless Mouse review – Trap this one

It’s not often we get to review a mouse in recent years, but sometimes one crawls over our desk and we can’t help but pick it up. This time it’s from  Asus’ budget gaming brand TUF – which has managed to develop more than a few quality peripherals. Now it’s adding the TUF Gaming M4 wireless mouse to its arsenal in early 2022.

The M4 replaces the TUF M3 gaming mouse, and improves on it in almost every way. Here you get the option of 2.4 GHz wireless or Bluetooth connection, dropping the cable altogether. It’s powered by a single AA battery. Our review unit came with an extremely nifty AAA battery housing that converts it into a AA for weight reduction. The Stuff team totally didn’t spend more time playing with the battery housing than the actual device…

On to the technical specs, the M4 features a 12,000 dpi optical sensor with a dedicated DPI button. It’s on the light side, weighing in at  62 grams. It’s a comfortable fit in-hand for mid-sized hands and is suitable for both left- and right handed gamers.

TUF Gaming M4 Wireless Mouse Verdict

Considering the price point this one’ll launch at (around R500 according to Asus South Africa), the M4 is a decent budget gaming mouse offering that offers precise control and six programmable buttons on board. Entry-level gamers, or those on a budget won’t go wrong with the M4.
