It’s not an understatement to say that Resident Evil (the game series) is hugely popular in the Stuff offices. We were already keen on the upcoming Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness series (about which we know fairly little) but now we’re even more excited.
And that’s because the soon-to-be-released animated series, which sees longtime protagonists Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield investigating zombie outbreaks (which eventually lead to the White House — which is where Leon is working at the start of Resi 4), is bringing the excellent Resident Evil 2 Remake‘s voice talent back for the series.
Sounds like Resident Evil to us

The English voice actors for both Leon Kennedy (Nick Apostolides) and Claire Redfield (Stephanie Panisello) are reprising their roles, which is all the excuse you need to stick 2019’s Resi 2 back in and try for that S-rank one more time at the Racoon City police station. The characters seem to be a little older this time around, though Claire still has a fondness for red jackets (because they show zombie blood less, we assume?).
The creep-factor still seems to be present, in the brief teaser that’s available. More information will become available soon, if you’re as keen on the series at we are. Capcom and Netflix intend to reveal more about the show (including, hopefully, when we can start watching) at AnimeJapan 2021 on 27 March this year. If Capcom could just go ahead and announce a revamped Resident Evil 4 at the same time, we’d be okay with that too.
