HP recently announced a new line of devices, of which the HP Spectre X360 convertible is by far the most intriguing. This time, the x360 comes in at 14in, features a swivelling display that’s got a 3:2 aspect ratio OLED touch display up top.
In addition to the beautiful money-maker up top, the x360 is powered by Intel’s 11th-gen Tiger Lake processors, up to Core i7 with the assistance of Intel’s Xe integrated graphics system. According to HP, the new x360 is 34% faster than the previous-gen in the range. This laptop was also co-engineered with Intel, which gives it the Evo platform sticker for performance, battery life, instant-on and AI.
A Spectre(cle)
Obviously, Thunderbolt 4 is the next-gen of Thunderbolt 3, providing the ability to dock two 4K outputs instead of one. It’s also a useful all-in-one port that can be used for charging, data transfers, external monitors and peripherals.
We don’t know when the Spectre x360 will come to SA quite yet, but it’s launching in other markets this month (October). We’re still awaiting local pricing and spec ranges on these for the local market, so stay tuned.
