Rain releases most affordable 24/7 unlimited data plan ahead of schedule

To help all of you folks stuck inside during these times of pandemic and crisis, Rain is doing the country (or at least the parts of the country that have coverage) a favour by releasing one of the most accessible uncapped data bundles we’ve seen yet.

We can’t imagine the struggle of being stuck inside all day with a set of kids constantly begging for some kind of entertainment. Well, some of the older folks in the office might be able to empathise but us young ‘uns? We’ll just take your word for it. If you’re struggling to keep your data bundle under control now that your two muppets are constantly surfing Instagram, TikTok or whatever it is youths are doing these days, Rain has just the right data package for you.

Announced in a press release, Rain will now be offering its most affordable data plan yet. Users will now be able to opt in to 24/7 4G uncapped data for only R480 per month. That should give you a download speed of roughly 10mbps which is more than enough for basic video streaming and playback, as well as online games and social media browsing.

“Following President Ramaphosa’s address to the nation pertaining to the COVID-19 pandemic, we accelerated the go-live date of our 24/7 unlimited 4G data offering,” said Rain CEO Willem Roos. “It’s our hope we can make things a little easier for people. Those whose job allows them to work remotely should
find the product a great help as it will remove the anxiety of uncertain, potentially high data costs. And families will be spending a lot more time together indoors, so a little screen time might be just the thing to de-stress.”

The product is available from Rain’s official website and will be delivered to your door via courier. It’s a great deal on data that can always be cancelled at any time, as per Rain’s usual offers. It might just be exactly what you’re looking for, if you can tolerate the sometimes spotty connections.
