It’s no secret that here at Stuff, we adore the Fujifilm X-series shooters. Now Fujifilm has announced the X-A7 mirrorless digital camera at an entry-level price point. You know why? Because everyone deserves to own a Fujifilm X-series camera. That’s why.
The X-A7 brings some new (and high tech) life to its predecessor, the X-A5. It’s got Fuji’s latest and greatest 24.1MP CMOS sensor and has 8.5 times more phase-detection pixels across its surface than its predecessor. This makes its autofocus speeds much more responsive. It now captures video in 4K at 30 fps. After that, you’ll unfortunately be limited to 60fps at 1080p video capture. Still awesome for an entry-level mirrorless though.
We’ll take one in each colour
Other features include Fujifilm’s “Bright Mode” scene recognition tech, which can apply HDR and other effects to optimise images. Almost like you’d get on a smartphone with its AI camera tech.
You can get the Fujifilm X-A7 kit for R12,000. Included in the kit, you’ll get a Fujinon XC15-45mm F3.5- 5.6 OIS PZ kit lens. It’ll arrive in SA on 24 October 2019, and will come in four colour options: camel, dark silver, mint green and silver.
