DStv has announced a set of changes to their iOS app, aimed at giving their DStv Premium subscribers access to video-on-demand features via their iPad and iPhone app. Specifically, users will be able to download selected DStv Catch Up content on their Apple devices so that they can watch on the go.
Another new feature that DStv is adding is live streaming of sporting events through the Supersport app. Both the Android and iOS versions of the SuperSport app will be able to access live streaming.
iOS users looking to access the Catch Up features through their devices will need to perform the following steps:
– Install the latest version of the DStv App from the Apple iTunes App Store
– Run the app and press the CATCH UP button at the bottom of the app screen
– Sign in with your DStv Connect ID. If you don’t have one yet, sign up at www.DStv.com and remember to link your smartcard in the registration process
– You can now stream a large selection of DStv Catch Up videos in the app; certain videos are also available to download
Supersport fans have a similar set of instructions to follow before they can access the newly-introduced live streaming features:
To access live streaming with SuperSport on iPhone/iPad/Android
– Install the latest version of the SuperSport App from the Apple iTunes App Store or from the Google Play Store
– When you run the app you’ll immediately see all the available video, including what’s currently live and what’s coming up
– Sign in with your DStv Connect ID. If you don’t have one yet, sign up at www.DStv.com and remember to link your smartcard in the registration process
– Press the RED play buttonTo access live streaming with SuperSport on the web:
