We're used to LG releasing its phones more than once -- there are a few instances of that in the company's history. The next phone to get another release is the third (fourth? No, third) edition of the LG G8 -- the LG G8X. Which, before you ask, is different from the LG G8S.
LG's teasing what appears to be a triple-screen smartphone, which will be unveiled at this year's IFA in Berlin. But, before you got all 'LG's got a folding phone' on us, it looks as though the additional displays will appear courtesy of a smartphone case. Or a design that makes the device look like it's got a smartphone case on.
It’s not a good time to be either LG or Sony. Both companies have recently reported declines in smartphone sales. LG’s sales for the most recent quarter declined 21% compared to its performance this time last year, while Sony has an even worse time. Worse to the tune of 30% fewer smartphones sold for the quarter, year-on-year. According to LG, “slow sales of 4G premium models and...[Read More]
It's been a busy month here at the Stuff offices. Nearly busy enough to make us forget that we're giving away three LG Bluetooth speakers to three lucky winners. Two LG Xboom Go PK3 speakers, valued at R1,000 each, and one LG Xb...[Read More]
MWC has delivered some weird and wonderful mobile tech so far and LG has announced the G8 ThinQ that can read your palms. You read that right.
LG decided to announce a trio of devices ahead of Mobile World Congress 2019 (MWC), and it looks like three mid-rangers with some solid specs.
In this week's Light Start, we've got a folding smartphone as well as a lack of one, Samsung stops making Blu-ray players, and a Tolkien documentary series.
So much for speculative. LG, contrary to what the company's Ken Hong had to say a few weeks back, has revealed that it's indeed chucking the speaker in the upcoming G8 ThinQ. Except 'chucking' is the wrong term. LG's augmenting its internal speakers with something else. Something a little different.
When your opponents are as slick as LG's are, you've really got to pull out the stops and offer something unique if you're going to make consumers take notice. LG's tried hard with the awkwardly named V40 ThinQ, but the results are a mixed bag.
