The weekend of 21 September (right up to 24 September — also known as Heritage Day) will be taken up, for the folks who make up Stuff, roaming the wilds of the Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand, Johannesburg. What, you might ask, would compel us to want to work on a long weekend? A little something known as Comic Con Africa 2019, which will be taking place from 21 September all the way through to 24 September. That’s four whole days of the biggest, nerdiest convention-type stuff we’ve had the pleasure to immerse ourselves in. And, now, five sets of two people can come along. Without having to pay for tickets, that is.
But, and this is important, there are some very specific things you need to know. Stuff has got five sets of double tickets to Comic Con Africa 2019 to give away and those tickets are valid for Saturday, 21 September. This means you’ve got to be able to attend the event in Johannesburg on the day. We’ve got no problem giving the tickets to folks living all over the country but you’re going to have to arrange your own travel, transport, and accommodation. If you’re okay with all that, you can head on down to the next step in the process.
Comic Con Africa 2019 is the biggest and most interactive pop culture experience at Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand, allowing audiences to experience the best cosplay, comic books, anime, manga, video games, films and series the world has to offer between the 21st and 24th of September 2019.
Comic Con Africa 2019 will welcome an estimated 60,000 visitors, offering 160 hours of content across five halls including panels, competitions, seminars, and workshops. With 250 exhibitors offering event specials on everything from gaming hardware and accessories, cosplay designers, apparel, pop-culture merchandise, comic and figurine collectables as well as various artists, authors and international guest, this is the place to gear up and geek out!

Right, have you got all that? Great stuff, you overachiever. You’re going to fit right in. All that’s left to do is examine the Terms and Conditions, the bits that govern how we do giveaways and how we handle the (minimal) info we collect. Or, you know, don’t, but entering means that you agree to be bound by the Ts&Cs, unless you work for Stuff Magazine. If you work for Stuff, you’re not allowed to win this particular competition. Or any other competition hosted by Stuff Magazine. Ever. Winners will be announced on 10 September.
