Tecno’s Pova series is sold in South Africa, and the newest, the Pova 8 5G, is likely to make its way here eventually. For now, the Chinese brand has launched its newest handset in India. It’s a very decent early look for locals, who could see the unusual design turn up in the very near future. Not that we really need the look. Visuals and details for the Pova 8 have been leaking for ages. The Indian launch just confirms everything we’ve been seeing since May this year. Perhaps the best thing about it is its rear panel design. See…

Social media cameras are a new battleground for tech. DJI tends to lead the way, but Insta360’s new Luna Ultra hopes to steal the front position. Given that it’s rocking Leica optics, it’s got a decent shot at it. It’s also rocking a R13,000 price tag, so maybe it’s worth waiting for a price drop. The newly announced Insta360 camera specifically takes on the DJI Osmo Pocket range, particularly the premium lineup. Leica’s involvement isn’t just theoretical, either. The gimbal camera sports a 1in camera sensor along with that Leica Summicron lens. Luna Ultra camera There are other features involved,…

Logitech has announced a raft of new products in recent weeks, targeting basically every sector. The new Spotlight 2 covers one of the areas the company may have overlooked (so far). We know of at least one serious fan at Stuff who will be thrilled that this thing exists. The original Spotlight launched way back in 2017. Even then, it wasn’t for everyone. Most folks don’t need a high-end presentation device that acts as a laser pointer and presentation clicker.  The Spotlight 2 is the same thing, but more so. Even so, Logitech may be laying it on a little…

Sometimes, a product name will tell you everything you need to know. Kenwood’s new Glass Core and Glass Core Pro in-ear headphones don’t have their title for no reason. The ANC-featuring buds utilise glass diaphragms. According to the company, it’s an industry first that “suppresses unwanted vibrations and reproduces all the information from low to high frequencies without loss” (translated using Google Translate). That makes them noteworthy on their own, but actually procuring a pair might be difficult. The in-ears are announced only for the Japanese market, with no indication of when (or if) they’ll arrive elsewhere. Still, we’d love…

Stuff gets to check out interesting cars all the time. It’s less often that we’re exposed to new motorcycles. The TVS Apache RR310 has broken that dry spell for us. The new two-wheeler is a standard petrol-powered bike with a 312.2 cc engine, but it still fits Stuff’s format. That’s because, in addition to being a full-fairing looker, the Apache RR310 is designed for the track. There are a couple of features that make it suitable for putting rubber on the road. Equally, some features could make it an interesting (and fun) commuter. Apache goes to whoa The 310cc single-cylinder…

Earlier this week, Meta launched its new Business Agent AI service for companies that routinely use the company’s platforms for work. The rollout promises an agent that “handles customer conversations 24/7 in your brand voice,” which sounds suspiciously like this little thing called a ‘chatbot’. The Meta Business Agent is supposedly more advanced and also provides “insights to help grow your business” (previously known as a ‘dashboard’). Following a trial program for companies in India, the function is rolling out to the rest of the world — provided you’re able to get to the head of the queue. It’s just…

Therabody is best known for its range of percussion massagers, but the fitness brand also has a range of heating and cooling tech. The newest item (that isn’t for your knees) is the CryoTherm Palm. If the name isn’t enough of a clue, it’s supposed to keep your hands ready for action. That’s not all it does, obviously. The dumbbell-shaped accessory will heat or cool a user’s hands, but it’ll also perform spot maintenance on other parts of the body. The company calls this contrast therapy. Mostly, though, the CryoTherm Palm is there to look after your hands. Therabody of…

Several companies are looking at making wider folding smartphones. Huawei is one of them, but it’s not alone. But the Chinese company might be leaping right to the next logical step — wider smartphones that don’t fold. At least, that’s what rumours from that country suggest. Unlike the Pura X Max pictured above, Huawei is supposed to have a wider standard smartphone waiting in the wings. Reports of the device have been kicking around for weeks. Now, Chinese leaker Digital Chat Station claims to have some details of what users can expect. Huawei gonna make this wider? The reports don’t…

BMW piloted the use of humanoid robots in its vehicle production earlier this year. A new BBC report reckons that the automaker has seen enough to make putting them into action — on a still-limited scale — later this year. It’s not the first company to explore humanoid robots in various roles. BMW test-drove robotic workers at the company’s Leipzig plant earlier in 2026. Now two of the robots are set to work more closely in the company’s production setup. Enter the BMW bot The robots in question are both Hexagon Robotics’ Aeon humanoids. The Swiss robots should get along…

MTN One TV is a new on-demand video service available in Africa. Initially, this will cover MTN’s markets in South Africa and Zambia, with other countries serviced by the mobile service provider following later. It doesn’t seem like a one-size-fits-all package. MTN describes the service as “local storytelling, live channels, international programming, and market-specific viewing options tailored to how customers across the continent access and pay for digital entertainment.” MTN One TV for everyone The company reckons that its new service will “support greater content discovery, broader audience reach, and sustainable growth” in Africa in general. It’ll be starting in…
