And then there were none. Far from just being an Agatha Christie novel (look it up, kids), it’s also the situation today as we give away our final BrydgeAir keyboard to one lucky winner. Except with less death and mystery. Seriously, look up the novel. While you’re doing that, we’re going to be doing the BrydgeAir Keyboard for iPad Air and iPad Air 2 competition draw. Wanna race? See, that was fast. But first… As is custom, we have a couple of legal things to get out of the way. This is how the whole thing goes down every month:…

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uVdV-lxRPFo Marvel, now part of the Disney Juggernaut that has brought you this deluge of Star Wars everything taking over the… planet, has a new Captain America film on the way and the first trailer for Captain America: Civil War sees Cap and a few of his friends (the ones that have his back) taking on Iron Man and and his crew. Far from being a gang vs. gang situation, it seems that government – notably the US government – are looking to limit the powers of superheroes. What do you get for the geek that has everything? How about a tiny little computer that does, or at least wants to do, everything? That’s the idea with the Poco, which is being billed by its creators as a supercomputer. In the versatility sense rather than the incredibly overpowered one, we believe. It’s set to be powered by the Raspberry Pi motherboard so it’s a pretty flexible platform. And here’s why you might want one. It’s a bird… wait, a GoPro-like thing Due to international copyright law (and trademark and a whole bunch of others), we can’t call the…

A rocket from space has finally landed vertically – and it didn’t belong to SpaceX https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9pillaOxGCo Elon Musk’s SpaceX has been working on adding vertical takeoff and landing capabilities to their rockets for some time, achieving it in tests but not quite nailing the landing on rockets returns from space. To be fair SpaceX has been trying to get their orbital rocket to land on a platform floating in the ocean, so they’re basically doing it on Hard Mode, but Amazon’s Jeff Bezos, through his space company Blue Origin, has managed the first vertically-landed rocket-returned-from-space. Musk was nice about it…

We know, we know, we waited too long to give away a Stuff cover model. At least a couple of you are thinking that. But you can’t own people (that’s just creepy) and it’s a damned good thing too because we’d probably wind up with some terrible owners. Instead we’re giving away Stuff’s December 2015 cover model, the Sphero BB-8 droid, courtesy of iStore. That’s as close as we’re comfortable getting to a people giveaway. And we’re actually giving away two BB-8 droids. So there. Before we get onto the marketing speak, a little story about the BB-8. When it first…

Sony likes having something to crow about and we have to agree with them on this one: passing the 30 million units sold milestone with the PlayStation 4 is something to make noise over. Which is what Sony are doing at the moment, celebrating 30.2 million PS4s sold since its launch in 2013. That’s a worldwide total, as of 22 November this year, presumably incorporating all models and edition of the console itself. The PS4 still has a way to go to bypass the PlayStation 3 and the mighty PlayStation 2 but figures over 150 million units isn’t out of reach…

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PzoR0l5uMhg How far would you go to get your hands on one of Samsung’s newest SUHD TV screens. Samsung imagines the possibilities with their newest overseas TV advertisement, which puts a series of older flat-screen TVs in some very mortal peril. The takeaway, obviously, is that you’ll be using a so-called happy accident to avail yourself of one of Samsung’s SUHD screens. Even though the ‘accident’ isn’t quite as accidental as it will seem to any possible witnesses. And then Samsung closes with a disclaimer asking you not to actually attempt any of these ‘happy accidents’ on your own. Because you might not…
