Honor is no stranger to leaks, and the 700 Series is next in line. We’ve now got a rough idea of where the company is taking its mid-range family of smartphones. Think the Xiaomi 17 Pro, which brought the rear display to the mainstream. A rumour from Digital Chat Station on Weibo suggests the 700 Series will follow suit.
A big kick in the rear
The rumour claims that at least one member of the Honor 700 Series will get the upgrade, though it doesn’t mention specifics. It’s almost certainly reserved for the Honor 700 Pro — the more expensive of the two. The 600 Pro, released earlier this year in South Africa, had a launch price of R20,000.
That rear display will reportedly measure 1.72in, though where it’ll sit on the device isn’t known. The most likely option will be inside the camera island, though Honor may opt for something that’ll help it stand out more. The Honor 600 Pro launched with a magnetic rear display attachment that sat in the middle of the phone.
The rest of the rumoured specs seem far more in line with what we’d expect from the company. There’s apparently a 6.57in display with 1.5K resolution in front, while the rear is expected to house a 200MP camera. It shouldn’t be long before we find out the specs from Honor directly. Judging by the release of the Honor 500 and Honor 600 Series, we could see the 700 Series launch as soon as November this year.
