Instead of spending your hard-earned cash at some retailer, Hisense would rather you spend it at the company’s first-ever, “premium brand store” in South Africa, opening its doors soon at the Canal Walk shopping centre in Cape Town. The company hopes to make the most of Black Friday with the doors opening on 1 November.
Big deals (and even bigger TVs) in store
The store, currently in its “final design phase”, will allow visitors to “explore, test, and interact with the brand’s most advanced creations.” So… a store. Still, it’s probably worth a visit if you’ve got one of the company’s projectors, TVs, fridges, or smart home products on your wish list to see them in action for yourself.
Hisense certainly seems worried that it won’t be enough to lure customers through the door on its own. To that end, it will offer in-store promotions as well as interactive product demos, and a “first look at Hisense SA’s latest premium range of locally made technology,” which includes the 116in beast that is the Hisense 116UX TV.

“For over a decade, we’ve invested heavily in South Africa’s technology ecosystem through our Atlantis manufacturing plant. This flagship store is a natural extension of that commitment, allowing customers to experience locally made quality up close while supporting a value chain that creates jobs and transfers skills right here at home,” said Luna Nortje, deputy GM at Hisense SA.
