Hisense has launched two TVs in South Africa aimed specifically at gamers.
The QLED Q7Q and Mini-LED U7Q specifically offer “the ultra-responsive performance that competitive gamers demand”.
Both sport 4K resolutions and use Hisense’s latest Hi-View Engine. The Q7Q uses Quantum Dot Colour to “achieve over a billion shades of colour” and the U7Q “takes it a step further with Mini-LED backlighting, producing deeper blacks, brighter highlights, and unparalleled contrast control, even in fast-paced scenes”.
Hisenses, roll out
We love a little hyperbole in a press release, as you can see, and this is this week’s winner: “two new powerhouse TVs, designed specifically to meet the needs of high-end console gamers in South Africa today”.
We are those gamers, so we’re happy our needs are going to be met.
The Q7Q has a 144Hz refresh rate, while the 100-inch U7Q features a 165Hz Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) and Game Mode Ultra, in a first for the South African TV market”.
Both sets have Dolby Vision Gaming and HDR10+, so the “darkest shadows to the brightest flares, pops with cinematic intensity”.
They have multiple HDMI 2.1 ports, and support for eARC.
The QLED Q7Q sells for R11,000 and the Mini-LED U7Q goes for R16,000.
