It’s almost inevitable that details of Samsung’s new phones will spill out long before launch but for once there’s something novel about the ‘leaks’. Talk of a Slim version of Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S25 smartphone is bouncing around various online sources, starting in South Korea.
In case you’ve neglected your South Korean language studies, website SmartPrix — which has a record of sharing Samsung stuff ahead of official reveals — has the details of the rumoured S25 Slim in English.
Slim, neh?
Or you could keep reading without bothering to click away. The handset is thought to be a fourth entry into the company’s usual run of three flagship handsets — so we should expect a Galaxy S25, a Galaxy S25 Plus, and the Galaxy S25 Ultra, plus a Galaxy S25 Slim — assuming that is the official designator. Its defining characteristic would be that it’s… well, thinner.
Images of the device don’t exist in the wild yet but the model number — SM-S937 — does. It’s not officially called a Slim and it’s not been spotted in any region other than America at the moment but it’s expected to launch in the second quarter of 2025.

We also don’t know how skinny this thing is supposed to be but it’s a safe bet that it’s thinner than 8.6mm. That’s the thickness of the Galaxy S24 Ultra and the rumoured phone will have to shrink down skinner than that to justify its role in the lineup. It’s supposed to compete with a similarly svelte iPhone that is rumoured to be heading down the chute in September-ish next year.
We expect more details of Samsung’s newest surprise to appear well before the company does anything official. Stay tuned, it can’t be long before an image or a render breaks cover.
