Nintendo and Vodacom want you to purchase a Switch bundle (for R400pm)

If you want a Nintendo Switch but just can’t afford the once-off payment, then Vodacom and Nintendo here in South Africa have a deal with you. Or, rather, they have several deals for you, and they’ll all cost you about R400 per month.

Switch to Vodacom?

Each bundle includes a data package from Vodacom (either 1GB or 2GB per month) and all of them run over 36 months. There are four packages in total but all of them come to four hundred bucks a month over the period.

There’s the Game and Watch bundle, which includes 1GB of data a month, a WiFi modem, a Nintendo Switch, a Labo Variety Kit and a copy of Super Mario 3D All-Stars. And, of course, a Super Mario Bros. Game and Watch. If that’s not for you, the Animal Crossing bundle includes a Switch, the titular game, a Labo Variety Kit and an Animal Crossing case for your gaming hardware. Plus 2GB of data a month and a WiFi modem from Vodacom.

If you’re all about the games, then the Super Mario bundle might be more your style. 2GB of data a month, a WiFi modem, a Nintendo Switch, a Labo Variety Kit and copies of Super Mario 3D All-Stars and the excellent Mario Kart 8 Deluxe make up this one. And, finally, for the fitness-adjacent is the Ring Fit bundle, which includes a Nintendo Switch, a copy of Ring Fit Adventure (plus the ring itself, which you’ll soon curse… and love). plus 2GB of data a month for the period of the contract and a WiFi modem.

Nintendo and Vodacom are hoping to make matters easy — you can apply for one of these bundles online. If you’re approved, your gaming hardware and other bits will be dispatched to your home. Seems like a good reason to stay home to us.
