Take an early look at what is very likely the Nokia 6.3 (or 6.4) smartphone

Nokia used to have a very specific reputation when it came to cellular phones but these days it’s all about affordable handsets with excellent software support. The newest of these is thought to be the Nokia 6.3 or Nokia 6.4, which will replace the company’s Nokia 6.2 handset.

Whatever it winds up being called, we already know what it looks like. Nokia’s newest has been outed in renders located by OnLeaks (via website Voice.com). The uncertainty about the handset’s title is because Nokia may jump right from 6.2 to 6.4. Or they may be difficult with their naming and stick with normal numerical sequences. Who knows.

Nokia 6.3 or Nokia 6.4? Does it matter?

No matter the final title, the handset will include the same design and features. There’s a 6.45in teardrop display, which will let that 16MP front-facing camera peek through at users. Precise measurements for the handset are known — it’ll be 164.9mm x 76.8 x 9.2, though it’ll measure 10.1mm through the rear camera bump.

And what a bump it is. Nokia’s handset will sport a rear quad-camera arrangement, likely made up of a 24MP main sensor, a 12MP ultrawide secondary and then two 2MP lenses — one for macro and the other for depth sensing.

The phone’s fingerprint sensor has moved from the rear of the phone to the power button, and there’s a dedicated key for Google Assistant. Makes sense, given Nokia’s focus on Android One. Older rumours, which may no longer be current, suggest a Snapdragon 67x or Snapdragon 730 chipset, 3GB of RAM and 64GB of storage for the handset when it eventually launches. Rumour suggests that it’ll turn up around April this year.
