It’s been a long time in coming but finally… finally, Razer’s notebooks have made it to South Africa. We’ve had access to the company’s peripherals in the shape of keyboards, mice, speakers and headsets for ages but that computer hardware… that just hasn’t been easy to get. Until now.
The Razer’s edge
Razer, via local distributor Apex Interactive, enters the South African market in the next few weeks. You can pre-order your machine already but expect them to turn up in the country from around 4 September. That’s… not far away.
With the current launch, no matter which of the upload Razer rigs you order you’ll nab yourself a free backpack but you’ll also wind up with a gaming machine none of your mates has… unless they’re the sort with enough cash to travel overseas and buy the bloody things.
Razer’s new machines are up for pre-order at Incredible Connection at present. There are four models — two from the Razer Blade 15 range, one from the Razer Blade Stealth and one from the Blade Pro lineup (both of the latter are 17in machines — available starting at R40,000. If you want the top-end model, expect to put down R60k for the pleasure.
We’ll have reviews of the machines up just as soon as we can get our hands on them — which, we’re told, won’t be long at all.
