LG is taking this dual-display thing seriously but appears to be trying everything but foldable screens. Its V50 and V60 devices both have the ability to attach a second screen (as an optional case). Now the company is developing something completely different, called the LG Wing.
T-pose to assert dominance
Reports surfaced in Korea that LG is working on a phone that features a T-shaped swivel display. This device would pack two displays, with one main 6.8in panel that can swivel to the top and sit horizontally. It brings back memories of the slide-out keyboard devices from the heyday. And we love it.
The main screen would display content of your choice, while the secondary 4in display can be used for editing tools, to run browsers or secondary apps. Kind of like the Asus ZenBook Pro Duo, but in a phone, we’re guessing. The secondary display may also be used as a keyboard.
What we do know, however, is that the device will be powered by the Snapdragon 765 processor (the same as the recently-announced LG Velvet), and have a triple camera array at the back. It will definitely cost more than the Velvet, but we don’t know what that will be. Local pricing and availability, obviously, is a total mystery for now.
