Win the ultimate gaming experience in a Predator Thronos

Before you get too excited, we’re not here to crown you ‘Best GAMR eva’ just yet. You may, however, get the chance to sit in a throne. Like, a real throne, not the one next to the marble bathtub… We have teamed up with Acer and Predator South Africa to give one reader and a friend the chance to be real gamer royalty.

The winners will gain access to the only Acer Predator Thronos gaming chair in the country, which is why this competition is unfortunately limited to peeps who are available in Johannesburg in the month of January. Why so limited? Well, the Thronos is big… bigger than its counterpart Thanos. And weighs even more than him. So the Thronos cannot be relocated, and the experience will happen at the Acer offices in Sandton.

Fit for gamer royalty

Predator has gone next level in creating this insane piece of hardware — the Thronos gaming chair is an adjustable gaming chair, fitted with a giant overhead brace that supports three 27in curved WQHD 144Hz G-Sync Predator Z1 monitors. The inside has various connection points to connect a Predator gaming PC. It’s set in a steel structure with a motorised cockpit that allows for adjustments of your seat-orientation and screen setup. Oh, and what would a piece of gaming kit be without customisable RGB lighting. On to what matters most — the PC itself is an Acer Predator Orion 9000 gaming PC with two Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti graphics cards and a Predator bridge to keep everything connected.

The whole setup would cost around R250,000 if you were to buy one, so this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity if your father isn’t Donald Trump. Acer will give the lucky winner and a buddy exclusive access to the Thronos, and each will receive a goodie bag with a gaming headset, a mouse pad, a t-shirt, a cap and water bottle.

Got all that?

Then all you need to do is click through to the Terms and Conditions for the bits where we lay out all our strange requirements and then you’re set to pop on down to the entry form and get your entry in. Or, you know, don’t, but entering means that you agree to be bound by the Ts&Cs, unless you work for Stuff Magazine. Then you can’t enter

Only one person will win through a lucky draw on 24 January 2020 — and that person will get to choose one friend to take with them to the Acer offices at 8 Kikuyu St, Sunninghill, Sandton. You’ll need to get there yourself, and have some form of proof of who you are. Once the winner is chosen, a date will be negotiated with Acer that suits everyone. Go ahead, enter down below if you’re keen to be a queen (or king).
