And now, to get your hopes up here’s Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order
Here’s something that we really, really want to be good. Electronic Arts and Respawn Entertainment have revealed their new Star Wars title, called Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. It’s set to be a single-player game, minus micro-transactions, that’ll be something different for both companies — story-focused. Players will take on the role of one Cal Kestis, a Jedi-in-training on the run from… everything. There’s a story trailer out (available at the link below) which has us feeling hopeful but we’ve been burned by EA before. We’re reserving judgement until some gameplay turns up. As for the launch, Fallen Order comes out on 15 November for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. If nothing else, EA and Respawn have confidence in this one.

For the VR-ready, here’s your first look at Vader Immortal
And now for something… kinda different, if still Star Wars flavoured. Vader Immortal is an upcoming VR series heading our way for the Oculus Rift and Oculus Quest. It’s part of an all-new story that will see viewer/players taking on the role of a smuggler. A smuggler who has caught the eye of Darth Vader himself. Footage so far shows that the series will have some interactive elements, though not quite as many as required for it to be a video game. As far as immersive movies go, though, this one looks like it’ll be tough to top. Provided you have the hardware required to participate, that is. Watch the trailer for part one (of three) at the link below. There’s no launch date for the presentation, yet.

Next up in the main Star Wars franchise is Rise of Skywalker
And here we have the next entry in the main Star Wars series (following Rey, Finn, and the rest of the newcomers). Coming at the end of the year is the end of the saga (apparently) with Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker. Just what that entails isn’t really known but there’s going to be a massive amount of action on hand. Explosions, lightsabers, Rey taking out a ship using a ground-launched melee attack (we think)… Yeah, this looks like it could serve as a fitting end to the Star Wars trilogy of trilogies. It’s set for 20 December, so expect a lengthier look at the film when a proper trailer drops soon. The two-minute teaser is at the link below.

The Mandalorian series is impressing folks all over the place
If you’re after a new Star Wars tale, then The Mandalorian might be just what you’re looking for. The series was officially revealed at an event at the Star Wars Celebration convention over the weekend. We’ve managed to sneak a peek at the trailer, even though it has yet to be officially released, and we’re actually quite excited for this one. A selection of top-notch actors, a fantastic premise, a lot of bounty-hunting action, and Taika Waititi? We’re on board already. If it manages to survive the takedown blitz, there’s a bootleg version of the Mandalorian teaser at the link below.
