Google is going to reveal Android Wear 2.0 at an event next week Thursday but close proximity wasn’t enough to keep LG’s G Watch Style secret. LG has reportedly had their first Android Wear 2.0 devices, the G Watch Style and the G Watch Sport, ready to go for a while and a new leak by prolific leaker Evan Blass (@evleaks) has shown us just what the former will look like.
As seen above, the G Watch Style will be available in Silver (top) and Rose Gold (bottom). The wearable tech also lives up to the ‘Style’ portion of the name. The design comes across as much more ornamental than a mere fitness wearable. The new set of images also confirm older images that looked as though they had been snapped through a grease-smeared camera from 2002, lending additional credence to this image leak.
As far as spec goes, the G Watch Style is thought to incorporate a 1.2in, 360 x 360 screen, 512MB of RAM, and a 240mAh battery. The G Watch Sport, which we haven’t seen clearly as yet, will, according to Android Police, will increase the screen size and add in a host of sensors. NFC, GPS, LTE and a heart-rate monitor will be in the Sport edition, which kind of implies that they’ll be missing here. The Watch Style looks nice, though. We should see it in more detail after Google’s event next week.
