It hasn’t been all that long since the P9 was launched and already we’re sitting with what is quite probably the final specifications list for the Huawei P10. And if the leaked list is anywhere near accurate the the P10 is going to be a monster of a device.
The specs popped up on GFXBench, where they are listed under the serial Huawei LON-L29. Since the Huawei P9’s serial is LON-L19, the math isn’t that hard to do. The mostly likely possibility is that the GFXBench log file is for an in-development Huawei P10.
What we could be looking at with the P10 (which has yet to be captured in physical form) is a 5.5inch 2K (2,560 x 1,440) display and a HiSilicon Hi3660 processor. This is a 2.3GHz octa-core SoC that packs in a Mali-G71 GPU. Not a bad setup for a Huawei flagship.
6GB of RAM (5.6GB effective, in the leaked benchmark) and 256GB of storage (231GB effective) make up the other major specs. The camera details have been revealed as well. There’s an 11MP rear sensor planned along with a 7MP front-facer according to the log, though Digital Trends reports camera sizes of 12MP rear and 8MP front. This could be a final camera package, especially if Huawei are dropping in a refinement of their dual-camera setup for the P10.
The Huawei P10 is looking beefy, at least on paper, but we’re still going to have to wait for a launch. The P9 was first revealed in April this year so we’re not expecting to see anything official for a few months at least.
