My gamertag is more useful than a business card. I write about the tech industry, hardware, software, games, and motoring.

The highly anticipated second foldable Samsung is official, and even though rumours confirmed the moniker, look and functionality, it’s nice to know it’s not just one big hoax. The Galaxy Z Flip is the first smartphone to boast a foldable glass AMOLED display, unlike its big bro Galaxy Fold that utilised plastic OLED. That didn’t turn out too great initially…

If you’re in the market for an easy-to-use vacuum that will open up some time for you to do something other than clean, the Mi Robot is nifty as hell. It’s easy to set up and use, with little to no complications. We had just one incident where the little guy got stuck under a chair and couldn’t find his way out — but that’s easy enough to manage. Tech is supposed to make our lives comfier, right? So picture this — what if you didn’t even need to keep a car key with you, and have the ability to unlock/lock and start your car with your iPhone or wearable? It’s fair to say that cloud storage systems aren’t perfected quite yet. Storing personal files on a distant server, like that of Google Photos, comes with its flaws. We always knew that Google is making billions from its various arms — Search, Android, Adwords etc. What we didn’t know is just how much it’s making from its annoyingly popular video streaming service. Y’know, the one called YouTube.  In the year 2019, Google made more than $15 billion from YouTube ads. This is according to an annual report published by its parent company Alphabet. That makes up almost 10 percent of Alphabet’s total revenue and doesn’t include other sources of revenue from the video platform, including subscriptions. That’s only from ads.  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯  So that’s what unskippable ads are for…
