It’s a good time to be a parent and a DStv Family subscriber. The R340/m package from satellite provider DStv has always prioritised kid-friendly content, and, says the company, it’s about to get a whole lot friendlier.
It’ll do this by adding three new channels to the package. All are kid-centric, with the Nickelodeon, Nick Jr, and DreamWorks channels joining the lineup from 25 August.
Joining the DStv Family
Muitichoice CEO Byron du Plessis said, “While our broader packaging review remains ongoing, our research shows that Family customers value kids’ content as much as they do local shows and movies.”
“By adding Nickelodeon, Nick Jr, and DreamWorks to the Family package alongside favourites like Cartoonito and Disney Channel, we are making DStv Family the undisputed home of kids entertainment. It is now easier than ever for households to enjoy safe, entertaining, and educational shows that keep children engaged.”
Kids’ shows joining the DStv Family roster include The Loud House, Dora, Wylde Pak, Tim Rex in Space, PAW Patrol, and The Thundermans Undercover.
Existing subscribers will find their channel selection increased from 25 August, with no action required on their part. New subscribers (the company’s release reckons the package starts at R300/m) will receive similar treatment, whether they sign up now or after the new channels’ launch date.
