Regulatory filings have accounted for several recent Garmin leaks, and this one is no different. Okay, it’s slightly different. Instead of an Indonesian regulator, the existence of the company’s new Enduro 4 and Tactix 9 lineup has appeared via Russia.
The folks at Gadgets and Wearables spotted the EAEU Declaration of Conformity from Russia listing a large quantity of Garmin’s wearable tech. Two names really stood out, because they’re not on the market just yet. Technically, there are three names. Two versions of the Tactix 9 were spotted.
Garmin displays Enduro Tactix
Those would be the Tactix 9 and the Tactix 9 Ballistic Edition. There’s only one mention of the Enduro 4, in keeping with that range’s history. The mention of a Ballistic Edition is a bit more mystifying, but it’s likely to be related to the local Cerakote version of the previous model, which includes “Applied Ballistics Ultralight Solver and [a] Slate Grey Cerakote Coating.”
Otherwise, though, the regulatory filing doesn’t spill any facts. The previous models (shown above) are probably decent indicators of the visual style Garmin will be using. In the absence of any detailed specs or images, the names are all we have to go on.
Gadgets and Wearables points out that these models have turned up in murky paperwork before, with the Enduro 4 showing up in the Garmin Connect app under the codename ‘GOBI’. The Tactix models have also been seen in filings earlier this year, suggesting that their titles are complete — at least for the markets they’ve appeared in.
Both the Enduro 3 and Tactix 8 are available in South Africa, priced at R18,000 and from R29,000, respectively. It’s no stretch to believe their successors will launch here once the fitness company makes them official.
