It’s almost a given at this point that Samsung would re-emerge from its hibernation by the time July rolls around for its next big Unpacked event, and the South Korean outfit has not disappointed. While we’re still awaiting official word from the horse’s mouth, leaker Evan Blass (@evleaks) reckons the date is set: 9 July 2025.
Samsung’s gonna Fold (no, not like that)

That’s comically close to last year’s mid-year Unpacked, which fell on 10 July 2024 and saw the company reveal the Galaxy Z Fold and Flip 6 devices, a new Ultra Watch, and plenty more besides. Whether Samsung will unpack that much at this year’s showing remains to be seen, though it seems certain we’ll see the Flip and Fold 7 turn up.
Blass doesn’t have any promotional materials to back his claims, but he doesn’t need ’em. Samsung, which continues to be predictable as ever, likes to schedule these things on a Wednesday, all but confirming the rumours. Coupled with Blass’ spot-on track record, we can almost clear our calendars now.

Specifically, you’ll want to mark down a time of 10h00 EDT (that’s 16h00 for any local Saffas) if you are keen to catch the showing live. That, again, matches the 16h00 kick-off time from last year’s Unpacked, further fuelling the rumours here. Expect official confirmation from Samsung before June is over.
While the company dreams up yet another terrible pun to punt the latest generation of foldable, that leaves us plenty of time to guess what’s in store. We’ve already mentioned the Galaxy Z Fold and Flip 7, but Blass also recently gave the world a glimpse at the Galaxy Watch 8 Series, encompassing the Watch 8 and Watch 8 Classic. There may well be a new Ultra on the horizon too, with the possibility of another peek at Samsung’s XR headset.
