Images of the Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim leak, show a phone that lives up to the name

Samsung must have taken the news that Honor’s foldable Magic V3 was thinner than its own Fold lineup hard. Long rumoured, images purporting to be of the unannounced Galaxy S25 Slim have finally surfaced online.

Unlike the recent leak showing off the rest of Samsung’s Unpacked lineup, these might be actually leaked renders. At least, they don’t follow Samsung’s usual product image format. Regarding validity, the pictures come via @OnLeaks and SmartPrix, a pairing with a long history of accurate Samsung information.

Along with the image set comes a collection of product info about the unannounced device. The S25 Slim will supposedly feature a Snapdragon Elite chipset, 12GB of RAM, and Samsung’s usual collection of storage options. The screen size isn’t precisely determined but it’ll be the company’s usual stellar AMOLED effort.

But it’s the Slim part of the S25 Slim’s name that’s really worth paying attention to. The Galaxy S25 Ultra is expected to be 8.2mm through the middle (if you don’t count the camera bumps). The same measurement in the Slim is a mere 6.4mm.

This won’t make it Samsung’s slimmest phone ever — that would be the 4.9mm Samsung Galaxy A8 but, as SmartPrix points out, that one featured a smaller battery and considerably less powerful internals.

It’s not known right now whether the S25 Slim will appear at next week’s Unpacked but it’s thought to be launching in May this year. That’s later than we’re expecting to see the usual Samsung crop ripen, possibly to give its usual sales a chance to taper off before toting this new variety to market.
