LG South Africa will embark on a journey the company hasn’t undertaken in South Africa before — the South Korean appliance maker is setting up shop. It’ll mark a new way for the company to do business, “bringing optimism and convenience straight to South African consumers”, according to the PR announcement.
There’s not much change for South African customers. Another avenue for purchase is opening, specifically on the local LG website. You’ll still be able to visit showrooms and stores around SA. Or you could grab your tech directly from the source.

LG Electronics SA’s subsidiary president Jinkook Kang explains, “Our e-commerce launch is more than just a new sales channel. It’s a testament to our belief that life’s goodness can be enhanced through technology and convenience. We are enhancing accessibility to our products, ensuring customers enjoy a seamless and delightful experience.”
Part of this includes various payment options, including what sounds like the usual run of buy-now, pay-later bits we’ve seen on other SA websites. Premium Service, which involves “free delivery, expert installation, and ongoing customer support”, will be an option for “eligible” devices bought from the upcoming online store.

And, to celebrate, there will be sales on LG products bought through the new online store when it launches at the end of August this year. Just what those specials entail is a mystery for now but early sign-ups to the LG Member section of the sight will net 5% off their first purchase, free delivery, and other perks.
LG’s head added, “We can’t wait to welcome our customers to this new chapter in LG South Africa’s journey, where premium technology meets unparalleled convenience. At LG, we are not just saying ‘Life’s Good’—we are making it better, one click at a time.”
