The iPhone 15 Pro Max starts at R33,500 (and other prices as well)

iPhone 15 Pro 5

The entire iPhone 15 lineup is available for pre-order from today, with a launch taking place next week (after payday, for those battling with ready cash). The local iStore has announced pricing for the entire range, starting from R22,000 for the base model iPhone 15, all the way up to R45,000 for the full-spec 15 Pro Max.

The iPhone 15 (Plus Pro Max)

Which, before you say anything, isn’t really cheap. The stock devices the 15 and the 15 Pro, arrive in 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB storage versions. If you choose the base phone, expect to pay R22,000, R25,000, and R30,800 respectively. If the Plus is more your speed, your wallet will have to turn over R25,000, R27,700, or R33,500.

The iPhone 15 Pro is available in 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB flavours. The Pro Max drops the 128GB edition, landing in 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB editions. Pricing, as befits the only models with brand-new processors this year, is similarly high-end. The Pro will drop at R27,700 (128GB), R30,700 (256GB), R36,500 (512GB), or R42,000 (1TB).

And if you think those prices are ridiculous, check out the iPhone 15 Pro Max. That’ll start at R33,500 (256GB), leap immediately to R39,000 (512GB), and finish up at R45,000 (1TB). Must be all that titanium.

Trade you?

The local iStore has a few solutions to make these prices just a touch more affordable. There’s an extensive trade-in program that will see you paying far less, provided you turn over your iPhone 12 or iPhone 13 model. The iPhone 15 Pro Max 1TB can be had as cheaply as R21,500, but you’ll need to trade in an iPhone 13 Pro Max 1TB in order to get that discount. Similarly, the most basic iPhone 15 will set you back as cheaply as R7,500 but you’ll have to give up your 128GB iPhone 13 in addition to forking over the cash. The entire trade-in program can be found here.
