Oppo-sight day
The brand tends to go a little overboard when announcing new products, especially the Reno lineup, so a claim that there’s a television event planned for 22 May this year with China’s Zheijang television channel has some credence. The event is expected to focus on the Chinese company’s television sets but the Oppo Reno 6 is also expected to put in an appearance.
Some details for the handset are already out and doing the rounds. The Reno 6 is supposedly a 6.5in OLED, running at 90Hz, with a Dimensity 1100 or 1200 processor running at its core. It’ll feature a 32MP front camera as well as a 64MP main camera at the rear, and since the Reno 5 has three sensors we don’t expect its sibling to arrive with any fewer.
These specs are rather close to the Reno 5 Pro, not counting the processor, but with one more difference — there’s also supposedly a larger 4,500mAh battery packed inside, with the company’s signature fast-charging tech. In this case, 65W fast-charging is on board.
