Are we ready for CES 2022?
CES 2022 will have more than 1,000 exhibitors, according to the official announcement, when it hits Vegas from 3 to 8 January 2022. There will be dedicated media days on 3 and 4 January, with the tech expo open to the usual run of visitors for the remainder of the event.
The likes of “…Amazon, AMD, AT&T, Daimler AG, Dell, Google, Hyundai, IBM, Intel, Lenovo, LG Electronics, Panasonic, Qualcomm, Samsung Electronics and Sony. Companies including Caterpillar, Indy Autonomous Challenge and Sierra Space” will be among the exhibitors, along with startups from all around the world at the Eureka Park location.
The event will follow “…coronavirus safety measures from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, in addition to state and local guidelines”, but they’re likely relying on an extensive vaccination program having taken place by the beginning of next year. Holding the event in person may be okay at that point, but few South Africans look likely to attend. Because, you know… we’re not doing so well on that score.
But the digital component, in the form of the CES anchor desk, is sticking around. The online side of things will “…connect the digital audience with exhibitors, conference sessions, keynotes and product announcements”, and it’ll remain available after the conference closes so even the apathetic have time to check out the newest tech on offer in 2022.
